Bob Angelini, ReVision’s Artistic Director, will lead the Fifth Anniversary Season. “We are very excited to be back in Asbury Park this summer!” said Angelini. “Since we announced our new venue, the outpouring of good wishes by our loyal members and supporters has been overwhelming. We look forward to a great season of theatre and being a part of the New Jersey arts community for years to come.”
In the tradition of kicking off the season with a fun(d)raising benefit, ReVision will provide audiences with their favorite highlights from the past four years in this 5th Anniversary Concert. The original Broadway productions of the shows we have produced garnered a total of 82 awards and nominations. With that kind of pedigree, a fun evening is in store. The evening’s emcee will be Richard Skipper who starred as Carol Channing as Dolly Levi in ReVision’s inaugural Concert/Fundraiser Hello Dolly. We are overjoyed to have both ReVision veterans and Broadway performers including Ephie Aardema (Hair), Julia Arazi (Hair), Brett Colby (Rocky Horror Show), Bernard Dotson (Xanadu), Spiro Galiatsatos (Hair, Spring Awakening), Anita Welch (Hair) and Julia Whary (A Christmas Survival Guide) performing songs from Hair, The Who’s Tommy, Spring Awakening and other ReVision shows for a trip down Memory Lane. Ticket prices for our Concert/Fundraiser range from $20 to $100. This annual event gives a jump start to each ReVision Season.
We open our mainstage season on July 26th at The Theatre at Saint George with Pippin; Stephen Schwartz’ first Broadway musical. Loosely based on the eldest son of Holy Roman Emperor Charlemagne, the musical centers around a mysterious acting troupe, led by a Leading Player and tells the story of Pippin, a young prince searching for the meaning and significance of his life. Accompanying him on his journey, in addition to his overbearing father, are his doting grandmother, Berthe, devious but charming stepmother, Fastrada and the woman he loves Catherine. This classic piece of Broadway history from the creator of Wicked and Godspell will have all of the flavors of a high energy ReVision production.
We are proud to present the first drama in our Asbury Park history with Red by John Logan, opening August 23rd. Set in a New York studio in the Bowery as the artist Rothko paints a series of murals for a lucrative commission at the Four Seasons in New York City, his assistant questions Rothko’s theories of art and decision to accept such a commercial project. This gripping play about the abstract expressionist artist Mark Rothko was originally produced in London in December 2009 and transferred to Broadway in 2010. The Broadway production won six Tony awards including Best Play.
Main Stage performances for Pippin and Red are Wednesday through Sunday; Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8 p.m., Wednesday and Sunday at 7 p.m. Ticket prices for both shows range from $15 to $40. Please join us for a memorable season.

Through July 6th, members will receive a 20% discount for our 5th Anniversary Concert and a 30% discount for a subscription to both shows. During this period only members will be able to buy tickets with this generous discount. So order now to get the best seats. Starting July 7, individual tickets will be available for full price and the subscription discount falls to 20%. Seniors and Students with ID save 10% on individual tickets. Groups are always welcome; please call our box office for special group rates.
