“One of the best productions I have ever seen. Especially the choreography. The opening number with the soldiers left me speechless. I wish there had been time to cheer and clap when it was over but I think the entire audience was dumbfounded. I have been involved with local theater for many, many years and I know what it takes to put on a production where and under the conditions that you did. It was absolutely fantastic. And I loved the way you used the carousel frame lights overhead. Did you hear the audience gasp? That was real appreciation for that touch. I have emailed tons of people to tell them to come to see it.”
“Every actor was so well cast. The athleticism of Tommy, the young mens' trance, the band, the mothers anguish, the voices, the dancers, every single person was perfect.  I am really going over the top here but I think you know me well enough to know I really mean it”.
-Pam L.

About The Show

The Who's TOMMY

Peter Townshend’s tale of a young boy’s journey from pain to triumph is the most electrifying evening of rock and roll ever to play in a theatre!

ReVision Theatre's production of TOMMY is one you'll never forget. Putting our stamp on Tommy is a natural for us. This is a production of TOMMY that you will not see anywhere else and that you'll be talking about for years to come.

The Story...

After witnessing the accidental murder of his mother's lover by his father, Tommy is traumatized into catatonia, and as the boy grows, he suffers abuse at the hands of his sadistic relatives and neighbors. As an adolescent, he’s discovered to have an uncanny knack for playing pinball, and when his mother finally breaks through his catatonia, he becomes an international pinball superstar.

The Music

TOMMY was nominated for 11 Tonys, the show walked away with 5 Awards, including Best Score. The original cast album won the 1994 Grammy Award.

I had the great pleasure of spending the evening at Tommy! What a great night!!! The entire performance was exhilarating!! The dancing was riveting, the vocals were perfections. The cast was engaging and extremely energetic. The venue itself is great, offering an intimate experience. Dress for the heat - it does get hot inside. A real treat at the shore!

Being a huge fan since 1969 when the album "Tommy" was first released, I have seen the movie over and over and the play several times from Broadway to a high school production. I certainly can say that this play was the best directed one. Even if you are not a big fan of "Tommy", you will enjoy this play due to how well the story and the characters are portrayed. The actors certainly do give their all for the audience and do a terrific job putting on a magnificent performance. Bravo to Revision Theater for putting on this production and doing such a wonderful job. Go see it!!

The singing and acting was off the charts! The pit rocks and I thoroughly enjoyed this unique version of "Tommy". After seeing the Broadway version twice, this production clearly holds its own and because of its intimate arena, puts you in the story. Bravo!

As a huge fan of The Who and their rock opera, I had high hopes for this production and was not disappointed! The cast was electrfying and the show was beautifully sung. The venue isn't ideal temperature-wise, but the setting suited the play perfectly. GO SEE IT

Great show- we saw it on Wednesday. Fantastic cast and the small venue puts you right in the show. Thanks for bringing a great musical to life
